The Singapore company was incorporated in 1959 as a partnership firm to capture the business potential of the Singapore market. The partnership was then “converted” to a private limited company on 23rd March 1964. |

Year 1960
With the development of the market and the growing business, the company moved into its three-storey shophouse located at Circular Road. It was during this period that the company began to export its products into the Asia market. |

Year 1970
To cater to the needs of the customers, the company ventured into the supply of original-design manufactured fabrics created by inhouse designers. These fabrics were distributed under the house brands “BJ Print”, “BanJooTex Gold” and “Carnival Fashion”. The company also ventured into the non Asian markets like Latin America in the 70s. With an understanding of the market preferences, the company incorporated brighter colour mix for designs that were distributed in these countries. |

To remain competitive, the company took steps to outsource its manaufacturing needs. designing capabilities are however contained internally and managed by its team of professionally trained designers. Nevertheless, stringent quality control standards imposed upon appointed subcontractors help the company ensures the quality of its final products. The company continues to focus on fabrics such as cotton, polyester and polyester cotton blends that are popular among its clients in the global textile market. |

1990
To ensure rapid response to customers' orders, a centralised processing and warehousing facility supported by strong management capabilities was established in 1990. In recognition of its successful track records, the company was ranked as one of the top 50 most enterprising private companies for 5 consecutive years continuing from 1995 to 1999. |

The company become a public listed company and its shares were quoted on the mainboard of the Singapore Exchange on 5 April 2005. |
