Lam shah Choong
Executive Chairman
Mr. Lam Shah Choong founded Ban
Joo in March 1964. He was appointed
as the Executive Chairman since
1964 and was re-elected annually
as a director in accordance with
Section 153 of the Companies Act,
Cap 50. Mr. Lam has more than 40
years of intensive experience in the
textile business. Drawing from his
years of experience and knowledge
in the textile industries, Mr. Lam now
assumes a consultative role on key
company matters.
Mr. Lam Shah Choong is the father of
Mr. Ivan Lam Pang Joo and he is the
uncle of Mr. Lam Pang Chuang.

ivan Lam Pang Joo
Executive Director
Mr. Ivan Lam is a member of the
Nominating Committee of Ban Joo &
Company Ltd.
Mr. Ivan Lam Pang Joo joined the
Company in 1993 and was in charge of
the general finance and administration
within the Company till 1999. He was
instrumental in the re-engineering of
the Company and played a pivotal
role in spearheading the Company
towards computerization. In 1999,
Mr. Ivan Lam was appointed as an
Executive Director of Ban Joo. Since
then, he is in charge of the sales
department and is involved in the
setting up of overseas operations in
Middle East.
Prior to joining Ban Joo & Company
Ltd, Mr. Ivan Lam was an auditor in
an international public accounting
firm. He graduated from the National
University of Singapore and holds
a Bachelor of ccountancy (Hons)
degree.
Mr. Ivan Lam was appointed as an
Alternate Director to Mr. Lam Pang
Chuang of GKE International Ltd in
July 2002.
Mr. Ivan Lam is the son of Mr. Lam
Shah Choong. He and Mr. Lam Pang
Chuang are also cousins.

Hee
Theng fong
Independent Director
Mr. Hee is the Chairman of both the
Audit Committee and Remuneration
Committee of Ban Joo & Company Ltd
and is a member of the Nominating
Committee.
Mr. Hee was appointed as an
independent director of the Company
on 15 March 2000. He has been
practising as an advocate and solicitor
of the Supreme Court of Singapore
since 1982 and is currently a senior
partner of a law firm, Hee Theng
Fong & Co. He is also a director of
several companies including Tye Soon
Limited, I.R.E. Corporation Limited,
Singapore Chinese Orchestra Limited,
Sinomem Technology Limited and YHI
International Limited.
Mr. Hee graduated from University of
Singapore with a LLB Hons degree.
He is also a Fellow of the Chartered
Institute of Arbitrators (U.K) and
Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.

Ah Seng @
Lam Pang Chuang
Managing Director
Mr. Lam is a member of the Audit
Committee and Remuneration
Committee of Ban Joo & Company
Ltd.
Mr. Lam Pang Chuang joined the
Company in 1964 as a shop assistant.
A well-experience and hands-on
person, he became a director in 1987
and rose to his present position as the
Managing Director in 1993. Mr. Lam
has more than 30 years of experience
in the textile industry. He is primarily
responsible for the management,
leadership, business development and
strategic direction of the Company.
Mr. Lam is credited for expanding Ban
Joo’s business to its present scale.
Mr. Lam holds a Diploma in Business
Administration from the Singapore
Institute of Management. He was also
awarded with a Honorary Doctorate of
Philosophy in Business Administration
from Kennedy-Western University,
USA.
Mr. Lam was also appointed as a Non-Executive Director of GKE International
Ltd in May 2002. He is currently a
member of the Audit, Remuneration
and Nominating Committees of GKE
International Ltd.
Mr. Lam is the nephew of Mr. Lam
Shah Choong. He and Mr. Ivan Lam
Pang Joo are also cousins.

Lam
Yat Len
Non-Executive Director
Mr. Lam Yat Len was appointed as a non-executive
director of the company since 1993. After his graduation
from secondary school, Mr. Lam joined a textile
house in Malaysia as an apprentice. He has over
20 years of experience in the textile industry.

Chew
Thiam Keng
Independent Director
Mr. Chew is the Chairman of the
Nominating Committee and is a
member of the Audit Committee and
Remuneration Committee of Ban Joo Company Ltd.
Mr. Chew Thiam Keng was appointed
as an independent director of the
Company on 15 March 2000.
Currently, Mr. Chew is the Managing
Director of KS Energy Services
Limited (“KS Energy”) and is overall
in charge of the Group’s operations,
particularly in strategic planning,
corporate management and business
development. Prior to joining KS
Energy, Mr Chew was the Executive
Director of another public listed
company between 1996 and 2001.
Before that, Mr Chew was with The
Development Bank of Singapore
Limited for nine years working in the
areas of corporate finance and retail
banking. He is also a director and
audit committee member of several
listed companies.
Mr. Chew holds a MBA from
University of Hull and a Bachelor’s
degree (Honours) in Mechanical
Engineering from National University
of Singapore.
